The programme for Troon’s Wintertainment 2015.
Save the date
Sunday 22nd November around Troon there will be loads going on for the annual Christmas event.
Here are some of the attractions.
Santa
Santa will arrive at 11.45am at the beach car park on the site of the old swimming pool on Titchfield Road. (Do not confuse with the current swimming pool, that’s the other beach).
The Parade
The parade starts at 12.30pm which includes the Boys Brigade pipe band. Santa will join the parade at the Cross.
The parade route goes from Templehill, along Portland Street, past Computroon, round into Church Street, onto Academy Street and finishing in Ayr Street.

The fairground shows in the car park are always great value but may have to be reduced slightly this year to make way for our new coffee complex which is under construction.
The switching on of Troon’s spectacular Christmas lights will take place at teatime at the Beacon if it’s back in time. (the beacon cleaners took it away to get cleaned just before Christmas).
If the beacon’s not back we’ll meet at the pet shop.
The Bus
There are shuttle buses running throughout the day in and out of town. The timetable is available in the programme which came through your door.

The Troon Lifeboat
Our local lifeboat team of volunteers put a huge amount of effort into fund raising and organising many of the events on the day so please donate generously to the Troon RNLI.
