The Ukash scams are well known ransomware virus’s that infected thousands of computers a couple of years ago.
This group of virus’s are back, but this time infecting mobile phones and tablets running on the Android platform.

Some versions even have a picture of the Queen looking disappointed in you.
Do Not Pay It
The advice is if you suddenly get a message from the police on your mobile, tablet or computer demanding that you pay a £100 fine – this is a scam. Do not pay. If you pay it your device will not be unlocked but you will lose your money.
Reset the device back to factory settings and in future make sure you take the latest updates for the operating system to prevent this happening again.
For Android tablets and phones, the best thing to do is purchase a Micro SD card to store all your photos and files. Therefore if your device gets hit with one of these virus’s, remove the memory card and reset your phone to factory settings.
