After months of speculation, Microsoft have announce the release date for Windows 10.
The date of release being 29th July 2015.
Many Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users may have already noticed an icon appearing on the bottom right hand side of their screen which means you can “reserve” your free copy now.
This update is being released gradually and allows you to download the core install files over the next 2 months which means when we reach the release date, installation will be much quicker as the files required are already stored on your computer. 
It appears that Microsoft have learned from the mistakes of Apple releasing big updates to their OS. On release date the servers become incredibly slow and the download part of the update can end up taking hours rather than minutes.
